Kristy Varkoly

Hi! My name is Kristy and I am a 38 year old wife, mom, artist, designer, and creator from Allen Park, Michigan. I majored in Apparel, Textiles, and Merchandising, minored in Art at Eastern Michigan University where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2013. I worked at Carhartt as a Technical Designer for 11 years, where I specialized in Women's Outerwear, and worked on  some of their most iconic women's styles, such as the Crawford Bomber, Detroit Jacket, and the Anniversary Active Jacs. I am currently seeking new opportunities within the fashion industry while also paving my own creative path on a few business endeavors. I, along with my sister, am the owner and CEO of a party decorating business, Double Trouble Party Planners, where we specialize in party decorating, taking the stress of decor and invitations off of your shoulders and into our creative hands. I was PTA President at my sons school for 2 years and am very involved in my community. I am also the creator and admin of the Crochet Along & Square Exchange Facebook group.
